Adult Ministries
Adult
activities center on the three preaching services in the Main Tabernacle
at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. each day, the 7:00 a.m. Morning Prayer Meeting, and the 9:30 a.m. Bible
study hour in the Tabernacle. These and other opportunities for worship
and fellowship are described below.
Indian Springs welcomes all who seek a deeper walk with the Lord, regardless of denominational affiliation. In a spirit of love and unity, however, our Board of Trustees does ask that, whatever an individual’s belief may be about the gift of speaking in tongues, this not be practiced while on these grounds.
Morning Prayer Meeting: 7:00 a.m. – Main Tabernacle
Our day begins at 7:00 a.m. around the altars of our century-old main tabernacle for a short devotional and prayer. Our President, Fred Harris, has observed that “prayer is the engine that drives this camp,” and the Morning Prayer Meeting is an uplifting start to our day. The fellowship is rich as we pray for the activities of the camp and individual needs.
Bible Study: 9:30 -10:30 a.m. - Main Tabernacle
A leading theologian and Bible teacher from within the Wesleyan holiness tradition presents a carefully planned, ten-day long study of Scripture. The studies typically focus on a book of the Bible, an important Bible character, or a major doctrine that underpins our beliefs.
Main Worship Services: Daily - Main Tabernacle
We
have three major worship services throughout the day, at 11:00 a.m., 3:00
p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Thus, if you are only able to attend the camp for one
day, you will still be able to hear all of our evangelists. In these services,
you will experience the best of old-time camp meeting singing. Most importantly,
you will hear the messages of salvation and sanctification presented in
the simplest and most concise terms.
Our preachers are all experienced camp meeting evangelists, from a variety of denominational and experiential backgrounds. Our ministers are also available after the services, and at other times during the day by appointment, for individual counseling and consultation.
Our open-air tabernacle boasts a new and unique air-conditioning system that reduces the temperature and relative humidity under the tabernacle for your personal comfort. Restrooms and water fountains are conveniently located.
Porch Prayer Meetings: 6:15 p.m. – Various Places on the Grounds
These informal gatherings are tender times of sharing and praying together. Specific locations are announced during Camp.
