Dr. Dodson is a native of Georgia and is a fourth generation Methodist pastor. He has been privileged to preach and teach in 12 different states, as well as India and Africa. He is married to Susan, a graduate of the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia. He is an avid golfer and a sports fan. He played high school football and was a collegiate cheerleader!

Dr. Dodson received his B. A. degree at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. His Master of Divinity was from the Chandler School of Theology at Emory University and his Doctor of Ministry was from Asbury Theological Seminary.

His career has been concentrated within the United Methodist Church in various cities in Georgia and Tennessee. He is presently the Senior Pastor at Christ United Methodist Church (CUMC) in Memphis. This diverse 6,000 member congregation supports numerous inner-city ministries. In the summer of 2010, working mission teams of all ages will travel to Zambia, China, Russia and Israel. The church's mission is to glorify God as they make, mature and mobilize disciples of Jesus Christ.

The Dodson's have a college age daughter and reside in Memphis, TN. Indian Springs looks forward to having Dr. Dodson at Indian Springs.
