Camp Community

Grounds:

Old-fashioned, nostalgic charm is part of the Indian Springs community. The 140-acre grounds are a fascinating community of eclectic cottages of varying architectural styles, together with visitor housing in the century-old hotel and other buildings. At the height of our encampment, there are more than 3000 persons residing on the Camp Ground.

There are approximately 150 cottages on the grounds as well as concrete pads for RV hook-ups. Other buildings include several open-air tabernacles, cafeteria, hotel, “Snackateria”, bookstore, post office and business office.

The pace of life slows down as one steps aside from the daily rush. Our relaxed community setting provides an opportunity for spiritual, social and physical refreshment and renewal.

Accommodations:

Comfortable, "camp meeting style" accommodations are available on the campground at costs to fit everyone's budget. While there are several motels in Jackson, Georgia, most people find staying on the campground adds to the camp meeting experience.

The five diffferent types of accommodations are: Hotel, Motel, Annexes, Youth Dorms and RV & Trailer Park. Reference these accommodations on our web site and select the right one for you!

Tabernacles:

All services are held in an open-air tabernacle with convenient restroom facilities. The main Tabernacle has a unique air-conditioning system that reduces the temperature and relative humidity under the Tabernacle for greater comfort during the services.

Cafeteria:

Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the food and fellowship in our air-conditioned cafeteria for three meals a day. Our Southern fare is very reasonably priced and well balanced. Times for meals are:

Breakfast: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30 – 1:15 p.m.
Dinner: 5:45 – 6:30 p.m.

Snackateria:

Lighter meals, such as hamburgers and sandwiches are served at the Snackateria. In addition, cold drinks, snacks and ice cream are available. The Snackateria is open after each evening service. This is a great place for informal socializing with friends in a relaxed atmosphere!

Bookstore:

Our bookstore has a fine collection of gift items and books on a variety of spiritual topics. We have many titles for all ages on contemporary issues across a broad spectrum of Christian life. Additionally, a number of our books contain information on the theology of holiness that are out of print, or are not generally available elsewhere. The bookstore is closed during services and each Sunday.

School Sponsored Cottages:

Located on the grounds are two cottages representing Asbury College and Wesley Biblical Seminary. These are two of the premier institutions of higher education in the country today whose mission is the promotion of holiness-based Christian education. During camp, representatives from both of these schools are present to answer questions from parents or prospective students about their programs, curriculum, and activities. These cottages become a gathering place for current and prospective students, as well as alumni. Often, prayer meetings and social activities occur in these settings.
