In 1911 the women of the Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting organized the ‘Ladies’ Auxiliary’ as a way to assume some of the responsibility for the camp meeting. That first year, they spent $36.20 on items such as lamp chimneys, pitchers, bowls and maid services. In 1940, this organization received official sanction from the Board of Trustees. Their purpose at that time was to care for the cottages where workers stayed.
Today, the Indian Springs Women’s Fellowship is an inclusive ministry of both hospitality and spirituality. This warm and dynamic fellowship encourages all women on the camp ground to become an active participant in camp meeting and to encourage friendship and fellowship.
Hospitality ministries include everything from hostess responsibilities for our workers, visitors and new cottage owners to providing greenery for the Main Tabernacle. In addition, the Women’s Fellowship sponsors several significant prayer events throughout the year, as well as hostessing the Women’s Luncheon which has become ‘quite the social event’ during camp meeting!

The first edition of the Legacy Ladies book was presented during our 2009 Campmeeting. We want to emphasize it is just that - the first edition. This is a living project. It is our hope that as friends of Indian Springs read through this first edition, they will be inspired to continue the stories of their own Legacy Ladies.
These pages have been put in a loose leaf binder form so that additions can easily be made. Each year for several years, a new edition will be compiled and pages can be added as family and friends honor those ladies who have left and are leaving a legacy of faith and godly lives. Eventually, we hope to publish the entire collection in permanent book format.
There is still time to honor your wife, mother, grandmother, special friend, teacher, or worker - any special lady who has been a blessing at Indian Springs and an example to those who come after her.

Memorial Funds A contribution of $500 (or more) includes your Honoree in the Legacy History Book and provides an Engraved Bronze Leaf to be on the Memorial Tree. Memorial Tree will be 4’ x 5’ in a public place at the Camp Ground. |
