Missionary Day

Missionary Day 2010: Thursday, July 15, 2010 - Hosted by World Gospel Mission (WGM) with special observances and missionary speakers at all services throughout the camp.

World Gospel Mission

Our 2010 Speakers are:

Jenny & Billy Wayne Fuller
Serving WGM in Kenya

Biographical Information: Jenny & Billy Wayne Fuller are career missionaries who have served over 20 years in Oldereski, Kenya. They recently returned to Kenya in July 2007 and will focus on the African Gospel Church rather than primitive tribes as in years past.

For seven years, they were at World Gospel Mission’s Tenwek Hospital in Kenya. During a work trip with Kenya missionary kids to Maikarra in Maasai, they felt God leading them into a different work. They began their work with the Maasai in 1987 in areas of community development, evangelism, famine relief, road improvement, medical care, secretarial work and hostessing different missions teams.

Rev. Billy and Joanna Coppedge
Serving OMS International in Uganda

The CoppedgesBiographical Information: Both Billy and Joanna Coppedge grew up in homes that exposed them to missionaries and their passions for world evangelism. In their teens and early 20’s, both experienced short term mission trips that continued their interest and heart for missions.

As single seminary students on separate missions trips in Africa, God called them to Uganda. Six months later, they married, finished their seminary studies and returned to Uganda to begin a new work for WGM in northern Uganda that will reach into southern Sudan and northeast Congo.

The Coppedge’s ministry is focused on pastoral training and church leadership. They build relationships with people seeking to lead the local church. As these relationships grow, they disciple and train believers. They are vitally involved with pastors and other church leaders of Africa Gospel Church.

Our Tradition of Missionary Day

One of the hallmarks of Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting has been its involvement with missionaries committed to the understanding and application of Scriptural Holiness. It has been our tradition to support and feature missionaries serving with World Gospel Mission one year and OMS International the next year.

Missionary Day has always had a special focus within the life of the camp. Throughout the day, all services in the Main Tabernacle have brief interviews with various members of our missionary families. In addition, one of the adults visits the Children’s, the ‘Tweens’ and Youth programs in order to share the missionary experience with all ages on the camp ground.

Missionary Day ends in a deeply meaningful missionary message followed by a special offering. In 2006, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was so evident after the message, that an offering of $350,000 resulted! These funds went to the support and ministries of Mr. & Mrs. Billy Wayne Fuller and Mr. & Mrs. Billy Coppedge in Uganda and Kenya.

Please keep our missionary families in your prayers for their ministries, their financial support and their safety.
