Chris Bounds
Dr. Chris Bounds is Professor of Theology at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Prior to his position at the Seminary, he was Dean of the School of Theology & Ministry and Professor of Systematic Theology at Indiana Wesleyan University. He has served as a pastor for eight years. Dr. Bounds is also an Ordained Elder in The Arkansas Conference of The United Methodist Church.
An accomplished author, Dr. Bounds has co-authored four books: Holiness: A Biblical, Historical and Systematic Theology with Matt Ayars and Caleb Friedeman; Holiness: The Power to Transform You, Your Church and Your World with Jim Garlow, Christy Lipscomb and Joann Lynn; Selecting Worship Songs: A Guide for Leaders with Constance Cherry and Mary Brown; and Unholiness: Overcoming the Forces that Attack Your Soul with Dr. Jim Lo.
He presently serves on the Board Trustees of One Mission Society (OMS); the Board of Directors of The Francis Asbury Society; and the Board of Directors for Good News: A Forum for Scriptural Christianly in The United Methodist Church.
Dr. Bounds regularly preaches and lectures on university and college campuses, as well as speaks at local churches and denominational forums in the USA and in other countries. As a pastor and theologian, he has a passionate commitment to the doctrine and experience of holiness.
He and his wife Tamara have been married almost thirty years. They have two adult children and live in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
