Victor Hamilton
Dr. Victor Hamilton is a Canadian – American Old Testament scholar. He was Professor of Old Testament and Theology at Asbury University from 1971 until 2007. He retains the role of Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at Asbury University.
He is known for his accessible yet scholarly commentaries, Genesis and Exodus, and the Handbook on the Historical Books. At Asbury University, where he taught for over 35 years, his teaching and writing have made rigorous biblical interpretation approachable for both pastors and lay leaders, emphasizing clarity without sacrificing depth.
